They call themselves the gay capital of the ozarks .... well that's not saying much but I love the hiking and scenery of that part of the area. I want to go down to a Crystal Bridges Museum exhibition nearby with BF.

Anyone been to a diversity weekend, art festival, or pride weekend there?
I'm also looking for lodging recommendation.

I haven't spent much time in Eureka Springs, but I think it is a really cool place. Not far from Branson (which I never want to go back), but worlds apart.

It would be a cool place to hang out for a couple of days and you could enjoy some good food and good hiking in the area. Thorncrown Chapel is just outside of town and a definitely must see.

I hear the Crystal Bridges museum is spectacular.

Thanks. I'm also coming down from Missouri so I will also see Cooper Chapel in Bella Vista on the way down..... I'm a real Fay Jones fan.

I've been there in conjunction with trips to Branson. Was with family and it was all about shopping, nothing much else. Had a fun time, however.

Where did you stay? Apparently there are a lot of gay owned and gay friendly B&B's and hotels.

Well I'm off to Eureka Springs this weekend. BF and I are staying in one of the Tree House rooms in the downtown area. If anyone has any last minute restaurant or entertainment recommendations please send them now!

I've visited a few times with my Ex and it can be a lot of fun if you go when it’s active or busy.. It's a nice gay friendly artsy kind of town; nice people (the Locals are super nice) and with many gay owned restaurants and shops. There are also nice and affordable bed and breakfasts; we’ve stayed at a few so you have some options. It’s a beautiful during Spring and Fall and almost feels surreal at times lol.

I think the best time to go is during Diversity Week and Halloween.
It's a simple, friendly, and unique town that's in the middle of nowhere; a hidden gem for some.

The only time we were in Eureka was right before new years. we stayed at a haunted hotel. The Crescent hotel. was a lot of fun. but that time of year nothing else was really open. didn't see much gay activity either.
