One of the most difficult things to do in life is to step back and look at one's views and position in life as if looking upon oneself as another person. This concept is also true when one looks at one's government from an outside perspective.

One of the issues that so affects each individual in America is the growing "Overlord" otherwise known as government, that which know ‘best’. The Overlord effects how people live and conduct their lives. In America it seems there is an effort to reduce individual responsibility and move that responsibility to government. That is the polar opposite of where I live now in that we have corralled government such that it is almost a pure implementation of the will of the people. We do not serve government. It serves us.

I could probably run through a list of profiles on RJ and pick who finds the “Overlord” as the ultimate. Strong agreement for an Overlord will exist on the left, as well as surprising agreement on the right. Disagree?

when the government can be bought, the money doing the buying should be shared among the people getting screwed by the purchase.
