As a kid I hated broccoli and Brussels sprouts. Now I love 'em. I use broccoli with almost everything and Brussels sprouts are wonderful when lightly browned with some butter and seasoning.

I also hated meatloaf, but I think that's because my mom's meatloaf was pretty...uh... let's just say it wasn't her best recipe. icon_smile.gif

As a kid I loved Rocky Rococo pizza. Now I think it's vile.

    +1 on pretty much everything

I used to eat white rice all the time! but then my mom switched over to brown rice, so I got used to eating brown rice, and I don't like the taste of white rice anymore. I did end up giving up on rice all together since I'm on this diet where I can't have any grainy carbs, so all my carbs are from fruit and veggies.

I love fruit so much! Especially fresh cut pineapple, it's so sweet. Om nom nom! (^-^)

Mushrooms - Could not stand the look of them, wouldn't go near food if it came anywhere close to them or had it as an ingredient. Now, I try and eat as much as possible. It was weird...One day body had a craving for it and ate it. Wasn't half bad and pretty good actually.

Still hate - Cooked spinach or peas. I simply cannot eat either no matter what.

The two things I cannot live with it donuts and ice cream. Mint chocolate chip and cinnamon rolls. Moderation is key.

I hated Brussels sprouts when I was a kid because they were always bitter, but now, I love them. I eat them almost everyday now.

I've always hated okra and cauliflower, tho. Both of them make me want to vomit. The smell of steamed cauliflower, alone, makes me nauseous.

I am pretty easy going when it comes to food. But as I gotten older and tried to be more health conscious, I tried to avoid all the carb, fattening, greesy food.

. I used to like Chinese food before but now, I don't think I had Chinese food in several years.
. I kinda hate indian yellow curry before but lately i love curry more and more.
. Love to eat more fruits, vegetables and sushis lately.
. Middle Eastern food kinda grow on me now.

As a kid, I hated Brussels sprouts, but I recently had them grilled and they're quite good.

I used to have an apple every day for breakfast. I think I OD'ed on apples at some point.

I would never eat tomatoes as a kid, now they're one of my favorites- especially fresh from the garden!

There were a lot of vegetables that I hated growing up until I discovered that it wasn't the foodstuffs themselves, it was the way they were prepared. There is a world of difference between fresh veggies prepared properly and canned veggies boiled to mush!

Except for maybe once or twice a year I've lost all taste for anything sugary- cookies, cake, desserts, etc. Now if I crave something sweet I'll nosh on fresh fruit.

Egg yolks. I loved scrambled eggs when I was a kid. Now, I cook egg whites and get rid of the yolk. My very first job was at a movie theater and I saw what movie theater butter looked like when it's cold. Let's just say it has a resemblance to yolk. Disgusting!

I used to not like sweet potatoes and now I do.

Yet the only vegetables I used to like as a kid were carrots (albeit with ranch...), now it's one of the few that I do not like, most others I like, weird.

I liked almost every kind of food as a kid, the only issue being how it was prepared. I still hate blackened anything. But a couple items I wouldn't eat that I do now are mussels and raw oysters.

On the flip side, I've lost some of my youthful sweet tooth, especially for chocolate. I'll still eat it, but not in the vast quantities I once could. "Death by Chocolate" is not a dessert I'll have today.

There are lots of things I eat now that I never had a chance to try as a kid. My friends like having me along when a choice of restaurant is being debated, because I'll agree to anything: Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Korean, Indian, Middle Eastern, French, German, Mexican, Tex-Mex, Spanish, Cuban, classic American, etc. I'll always find something on the menu to please me.

Until reading this I had forgotten about Brussel sprouts...I despised them so much I guess I blocked it out. Perhaps I should try them as an adult...

Wasn't fond of fish (Lent at my house was hell) and now I eat it 2-3 times a week.
My brother was good at hiding things like peas, lima beans and carrots in his diaper.

Asparagus, love it now, hated it as a kid.

Of course, when I was a kid back in the stone ages, my mother only served CANNED asparagus, so my revulsion was probably valid.

With the possible exception of corn, there is NO vegetable that should be put in a can.
