"Daily Show" host John Stewart giving a show in Boston , responding to VP candidate Sarah Palin's comments made in North Carolina about the "small towns" being the "real" America, and the true "Pro-America" part of the country.....
Play the video clip.......audio is a litte garbled in the begining...laughed my ass off anyway! He's right! I live in a big city and it is very much the real America and very Pro America, as am I! I'm just not pro Palin/McCain.....enjoy!

Absolutely! She's taller than him, too.
Too bad she's dumber than a dead frog.

I'd like to see poor little Stewart squawk like a stuck pig when Obama redistributes his wealth - so "folks can enjoy similar success!" Right.

Stewart wise cracks about other people? Can the out-of-shape wuss even run a block, swim a length of the pool, bench press 135 pounds? I'm betting a quid Stewart can't do anything but run his mouth! He should have put forth some energy into finishing school - but then I guess, with an honorary degree - why bother?

I think John Stewart, David Letterman, Jay Leno, Conan, SNL, et. al, really want to say "Thank You" to Palin.
She's been the best thing to happen to American comedy in years.

so if he cant run a block or swim a pool length or bench press 135 pounds, he shouldnt have an opinion? interesting logic.

Anyone can have an opinion - and they are free to offer it. But isn't it often the case where those who don't finish school are the non-stop talkers?

The whole nation and the world for that matter has been given a gift of enough stupid Palin statements and actions to keep comedy going for nearly a decade. she's a total embarassment to the clear thinking/rational everyday american, let alone the well educated.

I think we all knew what an inbred, redneck, dumb-ass, creationist, book-banning, corrupt, anti-gay homophobe, pile of steaming, lying moose-crap Palin is. Her latest remarks just prove it.
Oh, I'm sorry, only people who support YOU are "real" Americans, huh? Yeah, sure. I think you need to check electoral-vote.com, fivethirtyeight.com or even realclearpolitics to see just how many people think you're a worthless b*tch! F*ck Palin!
Jon Stewart is right on, AS USUAL! icon_mad.gif WHAT!

First let me preface this by saying that I've finished a University Degree, I'm 2 courses away from finishing a college certificate, and I'm going to be starting a professional program next year.

Just because someone doesn't finish school doesn't mean they're not smart, or that don't know what they're talking about, it can just mean they didn't like school.

Organised schooling in North America is predominately memorisation and regurgitation of facts, and not everyone learns best that way; some people learn better by reading on their own, and experiencing things first hand.

In my experience I know more people who went off and did masters and doctorate degrees who are in love with their own voice than those who went and learned on their own, precisely because they felt that because they went to school they had more of a right to voice their opinion, because it they had been 'educated', even if that opinion is ill-informed.

So instead of arguing against the points Stewart makes, you guys resort to putting down his physical attributes? We're not cavemen anymore, where the physically strongest get to rule the pack. I don't know if you guys have noticed this but intelligence has replaced strength in terms of what our society prioritizes.

I guess the fact that he didn't "finish school" cancels the fact that he is a millionare and one of the most influential people on entertainment. Oh wait. That's right, he DID finish school. In fact, he got a degree in psychology from fucking William and Mary. If we're going to use education as measure for people's capacity, let's talk about how McCann graduated almost at the bottom of his class or how Palin had to spend five years at five different universities before she finished.

Yeah, What is up with this Real America Crap. Like the only people who are Pro America live in small towns. Maybe it is because they only watch Fox News and do not watch all those youtube videos of her and McCain making complete fools of themselves. I just hate the fact that because they know they can not win they are demonizing Obama at every turn. So that when does get elected he will face huge opposition from the ignorant people who think all those thing that McCain and Palin say about him are true. What a shameful group of people those republicans are.

Here are a few more who did not finish "school" -Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Paul Allen, Lary Ellison, Henry Ford, Sir Richard Branson, Andrew Carnegie.

Sarah Palin did finish college -but she also believes dinosaurs and humans walked the earth in the same time icon_eek.gif It is one thing if you believed that 200yrs ago when the only exposure you had was the people around yo. But in this day and age?

I think America has two basic cultures and the Stewart/Palin (Republican/Democrat) flap is evidence of it.

Moving to urban Toledo was a culture shock for me, and I'm a culture shock to my neighbors. In example, we have "The Old West End Festival" here in my neighborhood and it's marked by a parade through the neighborhood. The Mayor was in the lead of the parade but the American flag was in the middle of the parade and there was only one. When it went by, I and an old man across the street were the only ones in sight standing at attention, hats removed and hands over our hearts. So when I have the only McCain yard sign in a sea of Obama yard signs, it's indicative of the cultural differences we have. This part of Toledo is a real cess pool with whores and crack dealers in abundance. No wonder they go for Obama, they're kindred spirits.

Here's the thing about that 'spread the wealth' baloney and other tripe being spewed by some above in this thread.

We already collected taxes and spread it. Who the hell do you think is paying for the fire department?

All this whining about taxes...I'm going to run for President and propose a new system. You can opt out of paying taxes ENTIRELY. But when your house catches fire and you call the fire department - 1. There'll be non 911 so you have to call directly. 2. Hope they aren't off saving someone else. and 3. When you call "Oh shit my house is ablaze" they will take your address and say "Oh we see you opt out of paying taxes, so for us to come douse the flames that will be $5000 cash on delivery or certified check thanks."

See how absurd not paying taxes would prove to be?

Furthermore, all these well off supposedly Christian types whining about helping the poor and less fortunate are CLEARLY ignoring every teaching ever utter by the Christ's lips. Pathetic.

and Rush Limbaugh! I love people addicted to synthetic opiates!

Wow....that means you think everyone around you is a whore or crack dealer.

I can probably guarantee the ones putting signs up are the ones trying to clean up their neighborhood, not the whores and crack dealers you speak of.

    I
