Fat Loss/Getting Leaner

    Im current at 19% BF based on a hand held device. I would like to get to around 12%. I am going to start testosterone soon which will build muscle and hopefully eat some fat. Cardio is really helping much. I know my age is a factor (49) but other than a drastic diet any other tips?

    It sounds like you`re doing the right things.

    You could try doing more cardio to further boost your metabolism and use up the fat. Or cut the fat in your diet, especially any saturated animal types.

    I don't think testosterone will directly have any effect on fat loss. However, it will help improve your strength and stamina. So you'll be able to increase the intensity of your workouts, which will allow you to burn more calories. So yeah.. increase the intensity of your workouts and maybe refine your diet more. Save the carbs for before and after your workouts. Rest of the day, eat light/lean high protein meals.

    High cardio coupled with a reduced calorie diet has helped me but it's been slow-going. The really lean people I've seen work out 2x a day several times a week. I can't even pretend I'll ever be up for that :/
