    South Carolina lawmaker to introduce LGBT non-discrimination bill

    I remember a time...not too long ago...when the idea of getting any kind of GLBT rights in the South was a preposterous idea. But we are seeing many improvements even in the South.

    It will be an earth shattering miracle if this gay friendly legislation becomes the law of the land in ultra conservative, religious South Carolina.

    If not for the federal government, SC would still have slaves today.

    Much of the White US South still views Blacks as escaped slaves. And please don't dispute me. I lived down there for 14 years, I listened to their "Niggah" bashing every day (please excuse me for using that awful word). This bill ain't goin' nowhere, not in South Carolina, nor in any State of the Old South. Gays are the New Blacks in the South.

    I agree with you 100%. The ultra conservative state GOP in South Carolina will see to it that this bill gets killed dead. Sad to say but it is not going to happen. But if the remote possibility of this becoming law should happen, it will be an earth shattering moment.
