Oh, I used to have one of those set-ups at work about 15 years ago. Not sure what's "new" about this.
It was a pretty fun toy, though fiendishly difficult to keep the lasers in alignment. Once everything was working correctly, you controlled it with a pair of microsoft-multi-axis game controllers. And there was another ablation (cutting) laser that of course was controlled with the trigger. Turn down the lights and it was just like playing "asteroids."
