Stereotypes are merely cartoons of people and not the real thing by a long, long shot. icon_wink.gif

What exactly do you mean by gay stereotype?
The flame queen type? ... Nope
    The T-room whore? ... Nope
The bathe house whore? ... Nope
The back room bar whore? ... Nope
    The male hussler? ... Nope
    The barfly? ... Nope
The Health Department 10 mosted wanted? ... Nope
    The Drag Queen? ... Nope
    The Drug Queen? ... Nope
    The Drunken Queen? ... Nope

I do have sort of an androgynous voice.
I'm into fitness but I don't think that can be claimed by gay or straight.
I don't mind dirtying my hands, doing woodwork, plumbing, electric, drywall or just about any other regular guy maintenance stuff, but I don't see that as breaking any sort of stereotype.

Stereotypes are just fodder for gossipy old ladies and idiotic jokes, like dumb blond jokes or any of the multitude of ethnic jokes.

So why compare yourself to some false stereotype. Is it to avoid trying to act like a stereo type or to point out what others may deem as some sort of flaw? Or to accept ourselves as we are?

    Stereotypes that apply to me:

    - I spend a REALLY long time in the bathroom getting ready to go anywhere.
    - I love shopping (mostly online though) and spend WAY too much on name brand clothes. All my clothes are name brand.
    - I sometimes cross my legs when I sit down ( can be considered feminine even though a lot of older men do it ).
    - I sometimes watch shows like The Kardashians.
    - I listen to Beyonce, Leona Lewis, Sara Bareilles. . Etc
    - I eat really healthy. I prefer a salad over a double cheeseburger.
    - I wear tight clothes to show off my body.
    - I care about my hygiene more than most guys.

    Stereotypes that I break:

    - I have a deeper voice.
    - I'm athletic (Gymnastics, Run, Hike, Bike) and extremely competitive.
    - I'm not the catty type. I don't really "read" people or throw shade. . . Usually. .
    - My closest friends aren't girls and I don't have a "Hag".
    - I don't go to the bars and the clubs a lot. . . . Because I'm not 21 yet. Haha. This will change soon!
    - My college major isn't Fashion Design, it's Criminal Justice.

The only stereotype that may apply to me is probably my soft voice. I never thought it was because I was gay though, I thought it was because I rarely ever talked and I always talk very quietly.

I'm not very fashionable, nor do I care for bright colors or interior design. I'm a nerd through and through, everything else is just me being me.

I only got two for each.

Gay stereotypes that apply to me:
    1. You're neat, clean, tidy and like everything coordinated in its place.
    2. No past girlfriends, so he must be gay.

    Gay Stereotypes I break
    1. Gay Black men are thugs, queens, street or swag.
    2. Gay men parade their sexuality or practice promiscuity.

    Stereotypes that don't apply:

    - I speak with no "gay accent"
    - I don't especially get along with the women
    - I almost never judge other people

Yes, I did model (but gave it up for dancing).

    False:

No, I don't open my legs to any hot guy, actually I haven't opened my legs to any guy at all.

I'm a little ghetto, don't let the pretty face, and wings fool you.

I'm actually quite, not shy. don't get it twisted.

I prefer to wear sweat pants, a wife beater, and converse whenever I can get the chance to, or if I can get away with it for certain events or get togethers.

I like to read books, like, a LOT!. I prefer paper back then those electronic books, because they look a lot better hanging on your shelf on your wall then a giant pad.
