Anyone in Paris? In the city until Wednesday and not sure what I want to do (other than Versailles). I've already done a lot of the touristy stuff here on two previous visits.

Thats me, but I don't live in Paris. France is bigger than our capital.

I live in paris...there's loads for you to do. There is a free exhibition of Haute Couture at Hotel De Ville at the moment which looks cool,

Otherwise lots of nice bars and clubs to check out. Or even just sit at a nice cafe to people watch icon_smile.gif

No he is true. We are actors paid by the government to pretend to live here. We have to carry baguettes, wear berets, and be rude at everyone. It's a bit like in Disneyland. Also, once the tourists are gone, we speak english.

Don't go to Versailles, it's an expensive time consuming tourist trap.

If you insist on going, then don't queue hours for a ticket to go into the place (it's not worth it) but instead walk through on the left and pay a little bit of money to go round the garden. You see more and you don't have to queue for hours.

Why not try downloading a walking map, there's loads of that stuff online and take a look around bits of Paris that aren't on the tourist trail.

I love Paris and am very jealous of you.

Mmmmmm, there are few palaces in Europe that are as beautiful and grand as Versailles. In my opinion, Versailles is worth every euro.
