How/why does your waist shrink when you lift?

    Assuming you aren't doing much cardio or changing your diet drastically, why do you still lose inches?

    Lifting weights burns more calories than people think, not only at the time but also after as the muscles get repaired.

    Cause and effect.


    Work=getting paid
    sleep=rest
    eat=to cure hunger.....
    workout=in shape, lose body fat/muscle/get toned, get muscled, whichever you fitness goal might be.

    Maybe the other explanation is that when weight lifters do dumbbell shrugs or dumbbell lateral raises they're actually hitting their waist to make them more compact.
