So, basically, what I got out of this is that I too can make a web page stating that it is World Blah Blah Blah Day, find a bunch of pictures that portray what I want to convince people to do, come up with some semi-believable reasoning, post it, and then it's a thing...

    This. Changes. Everything.

Don't forget, however, that May the Fourth is also Star Wars Day. So do your naked gardening with that theme in mind!

Oh you're too fucking funny. Not until I get my bod back in shape I won't. It's tough enough taking my shirt off just to swim laps at the gym (and I spent most of my life practically naked on boats).

My current garden physique looks more like
    ifdavidwasamoderndayman.jpg

And then there's that, um, little grower not show-er issue so the best yer gonna get as I improve might be
    Michelangelos-David-Garden-Statue-Orname
only with greyer hair and arthritis.

and you can forget forever those nekked abs, I haven't seen them since my first bud died and I don't plan on ever being that svelte again. Hey, I'll get my six pack back but I'm keeping it under the lasagna.

    Bitch!

Even when I weighed 142 in my early twenties, I never saw any abs...

If I didn't know better, I'd say urban myth.

    P.S. Lasagna...it's what's for dinner...icon_wink.gif

P.P.S. Also giving those baked Kale chips a go.

I was already about 170 in high school but that was solid and years before I grew a chest. I had abs showing through my 20/30s easy, but not from the gym, just swimming and life. I only started eating more and slowing down when people started dying on me, mostly mid 30s onward. Then as soon as I'd get back into shape, another loved one would die. Dead people are inconsiderate of my waistline.

Just off the scale this second, 214 lbs at 18.5%, not good, down from my worst of about 224 @ 23% after mom died & friends betrayed but still quite a bit of work to do. Don't think I had any progress this year that I didn't fall back on. I'm hoping to get down to the 190s at maybe 15%. I think I look better with some meat on me.

But you're right about lower weight not meaning much. It really is all about muscle. Back in my late 30s/early 40s, getting over the loss of my bud and getting back into shape after a few years of abusing myself, I'm bulking up and looking pretty good while a friend is trying to lose weight, bragging about how much he's lost and trying to make me feel bad for putting on weight (though I knew it was good weight). So I put the bastid on my fat scale. I was down in the low teens. He's taller than me, weighing less, never exercised, and the fat scale puts him at about 50%. He quit bragging right there.

Now, are you going to eat the last piece of pie on your plate? ::::reaches across the table and steals it without waiting for your reply::::: mmmm. delicious.

This is my favorite part from the webpage:

"Do so alone, with friends, with family, with your gardening club, or with any other group collected for that purpose. Do it inside your house, in your back yard, on a hiking trail, at a city park, or on the streets. Stay private or go public."

They forgot the part about making sure you have someone handy to pay your bail. icon_lol.gif

Bring that snow to California....we need it badly. Our snow pack in the Sierras (where we get most of our water) is 17% of normal this year.

mindgarden saidk. well I mowed the lawn and now it's world naked benadryl day.

It could have been worse, as mikeonmain notes, er, pictures. And I actually did find four of those little bastards today in my garden so being nekked day I exposed their root and removed them from premises. Think the PI problem is just about under control. That was not easy. Just 6 babies last month and just these this month, all but one seemed a few years old by the size of their roots. Big difference from when I'd find 40 every time I looked. The price of living near the wilderness and a prior neglectful property owner.

Meanwhile, this seems like another thread perfectly suited to posting more garden pics so here it goes from today

This I think is my cantaloupe flowers as I planted them next to a row of corn so they'd have something to climb and a friend in the garden. I've never seen a cantaloupe flower before....

    IMG_3365_1_zps3b51b985.jpg

And I've got these blooming all over the place, probably 50 or 75 plants that I've separated recently. They were here when I bought the place but now I'm purposely placing them. Not sure what it is, smells mostly at night. Some kind of lily I guess...
    IMG_3359_1_zpsc006c92f.jpg

Here's a little row of bamboo I purposely planted so that at sunset the sunlight would shine through from the other side like a lampshade. This worked out just as I imagined....
