    Hey guys,

Alright, here's the situation. Starting next Monday I will be in classes or rehearsals for the upcoming seasons with Progressive Dance Theater and the Gem City Ballet almost every day of the week. Monday's I will be teaching 2 hours of hip hop, Wednesdays I have ballet classes, Thursdays Modern, and Saturdays I have two ballet classes and countless hours of rehearsals. Fridays and Sundays I usually have the bar gigs. SO this leaves me with only a slight amount of time to actually lift. (I also work a 9-5 day job).

From the information I have garnered, I know that I need to keep at least 3 exercises in my lifting regimine, the dead lift, the bench press, and the squat. That's all fine and good, but what else do i need to be doing to maintain strength and definition and ensure that I'm not dropping girls left and right when I lift them up over my head.

The dance classes provide great cardio, plyometric, and isometric workouts, but I'm in desperate need of what other exercises I should add to the big three to get a total body workout in on the 2 days (Tuesday and Sunday) that I know i can hit the weights.

PS: I've asked other dancer's this same question and most of them look at me like I have 10 heads... Most don't even know what a dead lift is, at least not in this area.

    Thanks guys!

Incline Dumbell Presses for Chest...4 sets of 12...not too heavy, just enough so that yo ucan control the motion.

    Preacher curl for Bi's

Tricep pushdowns with a vshape handle or rope

Id do bent over rows with dumbell for back or if youre in a gym with Technogym equipment, use the Verticle traction machine...best lat machine ever made.

Should keep you ripped in all the right places.

    Good Luck!

Well, I can't offer any advice that wouldn't cause you to break a bone or something, but, I did want to comment that dropping girls left and right while lifting them during a dance could start a whole new entertainment genre. I am so there.

McGay... very contemporary... I'm seeing it! I really am. Need a good track though with lots of musical accents! hhhmmmmm
