The left will try and cover this up as much as possible. These things are only broadcast non-stop if a republican or conservative is even alleged to have said it.

It reminds me of comments I heard a few years ago from residents on the west coast of the USA and Canada about how Chinese people didn`t integrate into wider society and adopt the preexisting culture......

I`ve also heard comments from English people in Britain about how Scots should go back where they came from.

Show us where they are trying to cover it up. All that's happened is his own lame explanation for what he meant aka Lexington.

    Here's some history for you.

And so it came to pass that this guy has stepped down and someone else is now in his position.

What I said is true. Even Fox News doesn't have anything on this. I repeat, anyone anywhere near the political right would have been lynched, in both the news media, and almost literally. This was simply ignored.

Ignored is different than a cover up.

No one is denying he said it. No one cares that he said it.

    Big difference.

The point is that when a democrat makes a major mistake, you hardly hear about it, if at all. When anyone anywhere near the right even smirks, it's all you hear about for weeks on end, until the offender either resigns in supposed disgrace, loses an election, or jumps off a bridge to end it all.

If his intent was because of being a native american then shame on him.

However, you can't prove that was his intent. It isn't as obvious as the moron from Alaska who was also a US Congressman.

It means she should go back to the political obscurity from which she came, that's obvious. Trying to make this an American-Indian issue is a dishonest attempt to create a racial controversy where none exists. Considering what Republicans routinely call Mexicans and other minorities this is more than a bit hypocritical.

Of course it's obvious, but if he were anywhere near the right the news media would have chosen to see it the other way and relentlessly attacked. And who is calling Mexicans and other ethnicities what? Are you projecting again?

The term Republicans use for Mexicans is "wetbacks". Don't you read the news?

Lol - the efforts some of you will go to defend your ideological allies is comical. It's like this massive denial that Democrats could ever be populated by racists and homophobes - even when this is the case and even if they number less than or silenced more effectively than those in the Republican party.

When is the last time you heard any politician use that term? 50 years ago?Right now, popular opinion is that republicans want to try and get the hispanic vote, not turn it away.

Now Riddler the conservative side also has that ideological defending problem.

I think the politician made an ass of himself, his excuse, to me, was glaringly lame, and in any case he's gone now, from what I've read.
He knew she was from Lexington, so should have that he hoped she'd be sent packing back to Lexington.

No matter whether liberal or conservative, these kind should be plucked out and discarded.

He could have been referring to either Lexington or Bamberg. You know, the same way our President has been told to go back to where he is from, which could be Chicago or Hawaii. icon_rolleyes.gif

but seriously, let's make a big deal out of what someone, R or D, from South Carolina says. I do think as long as they all stay in SC, I think we will be ok.

Now if we could only force DeMint to stay in the state, that would make things great!
