Somebody's been checking the obituaries again!
Like the two recent cases in Ohio, I do feel less-than-full sympathy toward folks working for Da Church. They're gambling that their discreet personal relationships won't ever be subject to a referendum, merely because they've done so many good things for them for so long.
It's one thing to me if you're running a cupcake shop, a B&B, or a catering service and canning people over their orientations. But if your enterprise is run by or accredited by religious entities as a prerequisite to operation, then "job-seeker beware" applies just like "buyer beware" should.
There are critical services out there, like healthcare and education. But if the sole providers of those services in my region are church-based, then it's incumbent upon me and the people who live and work in that region to either establish secular options... or move.
