I first discovered him when he had a LOT more hair in a 1991 Lifetime movie, of all places. "In A Child's Name" was a penultimate Lifetime movie with Meloni as a supportive spouse to an insufferable Valerie Bertinelli, herself playing the bitchiest role of her career - unbearably, annoyingly and loudly fighting for justice for her murdered-by-her-socipath-dentist-husband-natch sister and custody of her niece or nephew (who remembers? that's the boring part) from the killer's own weird, RV ridin' mom (Louise Fletcher!):
