LOL. Now I'm downloading the workouts to my hard drive. Yesterday I was like - "Dang, what was after the arnold presses?" I think I just did random stuff for an hour.

Weird coincidence (?) the whole internet was down in my area from about midnight on Monday until mid-day Tuesday. No web, no email, no cell phone data, no long-distance calls. And calls to centurylink repair wouldn't go through either. Then everything gradually came back except for realjock.

I figured somebody must have cut the fiber optic line with a backhoe or something again - except there's been nothing on the news.

Actually kind of peaceful. Got some work done without interruption, except I found that I've become dependent on RJ to direct my workouts - they're too long and variable to remember the routine.

Does anyone know the reason RJ was down? I phoned out to the Pacific Coast yesterday, to see if members there had the same outage as here in Florida, and indeed they did.

The damn thing was that I was in the middle of planning a dinner with a visiting RJer for tonight. I had overlooked giving him my cell, and when I got back from a scheduled luncheon yesterday and went to send it to him around 2 PM the site had crashed. I've been sweating out the return of service for almost 24 hours, no other way to reach him.

Despite my gay panic the site came back up just in time, and we've made our dinner plans for tonight. But I'd still like to know what happened. icon_question.gif

I noted the coincidence, but thought it was just that - a coincidence. I understood this site was hosted by Google USA. Is that not true? RJ Admin comments?

Also some baking (muffins), dusting, Charles Ramsey meme video watching, and a lot of F5 button pushing. icon_biggrin.gif

Hmm... one of Google's main data centers is 12 miles from me. (See above) But I think if a significant bit of google went down, there would be a lot more wailing and gnashing going on. Plus the generators at the dam would jump out of their housings. icon_surprised.gif

Lol. I thought the site owners finally got sick of our shit and shut down the site for good. icon_lol.gif

Although, I was surprised there was no information posted on their FB page about the "maintenance". That's what sorta made me believe the site was gone for good.

The whole internet was down here at the same time that RJ was down. Coincidence? Probably.

Last night for about two hours, they had a message that "due to unexpected maintenance" RJ would be down for a few days. The header on the front page message had this alternate RJ logo,

    RealJock_logo_gold.png

so I thought, maybe they were trying to transition to a new/upgraded format or something when things went haywire.

    Team RJRealJock Outage Update

Hi RJ Members, As many of you noticed, RealJock was down for the past 24 hours. Unfortunately, we had some unexpected technical problems that required us to take the site down. The site is now back up, but we are still working out some issues as we bring it back online. You may experience some intermittent slowness and other problems in the interim. We apologize sincerely for the inconvenience. Thanks, Team RealJock

Looks like a year or two old... and somebody paid for it...

    http://99designs.com/logo-design/contests/create-great-logo-realjock-million-monthly-visitors-106373

RJ Submission to 99 DesignsWe are looking for a new logo that is more modern and web 2.0. The logo should include both a simple, masculine pictorial mark and the name REALJOCK. The current pictorial mark -- a muscular man running -- is too literal. We are looking for something more simple and abstract. The tagline (gay fitness health and life) does not need to be included. The design should be landscape and made to fit in the current website design (current logo is 286X94 pixels).

RealJock's audience is primarily adult men 25 and older in the following countries: US, CA, UK, and AU. Audience interests include working out, sports, fitness activities, and eating well. Many of our members compete in sports at an amateur level.

I just discovered RJ`s back online a few minutes ago, but not sure when it came back on as haven`t tried to access it today. I originally thought I had done something to my computer as I was downloading from websites on Monday and then RJ`s gone! Had I created a program conflict, etc.? But it was the same across all browsers and on my netbook, too, though the rest of the internet was unchanged and available as always.

I lose the internet connection sometimes, but never a specific website before.

    I`ve done other things.....icon_smile.gif
