The First State becomes the 11th currently with Marriage Equality. And Minnesota might become the 12th to vote it into law this weekend! icon_biggrin.gif

I wanna see some southern representation there.

    Florida, Georgia, c'mon!!!!

we got plenty in the north east. westcoast, even the mid-west. wtf is up with the south? One of those states gotta buck the trend.

I'm hoping Florida or Georgia will be the first states in the south to do it.

Forget about the South, they are literally third world when it comes to social views. Georgia and Florida are just as extreme conservative as states like South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, and Texas. It will most likely never happen.

However I am very happy that Delaware has made gay marriage the law of the landicon_biggrin.gif Hopefully Illinois will be the next state to do the right thing and legislate gay marriage into its laws.

I'm from Florida, so how can I forget it?

Anyway, I dont think it will "never happen" either. Places like Atlanta, Orlando, Miami/Ft Lauderdale are pretty liberal and accepting places. Also, if recent census figures tell us anything, the "sunbelt" is a rapidly growing area with lorts of ppl moving from all over the place to be.

For example, most Floridians are from someplace else. IE. the northeast, midwest, south america, caribbean, etc..... so I imagine as more and more liberal minded people move into these states, the attitudes and tides will change.

    Heres to hoping!
