I have a friend who works for an airline and I get to travel for very little. More so in the US... so far I've been to NY (where I'm from), Hawaii, D.C., Memphis, London, Paris, Montreal, Grand Canyon, Vegas, Florida (key west, south beach) and I live in LA.

I dont wanna go where there's a good chance I'll get blown up for being gay or an American. And I hate cold weather. I like to have a specific thing I'd want to see... for example the Louvre was the point i wanted to see when I went to Paris. In London I wanted to jog along the Thames river... One trip we did a trek to Lizzie Borden's house (that was fun) The Hawaii one was at a naked bed and breakfast.

I dont just wanna go and do a tour. I like to visit... see the one thing I was aiming for... chill out for a few days. Oh and naked spots is not bad either...

    Questions for you:

    1. How far do you want to travel?
    2. Does "chill out for a few days" mean your travel time is limited?
    3. Are you wanting to go someplace where the atmosphere/environment is peaceful and not busy like Vegas?

    1. doesnt matter though shorter better... was thinking of place in US but when you break it down it's kind of boring here
    2. got all the time in the world sadly lol... a writer in hollywood and no projects in front of me at moment... just finished one though (low low budget indie thing)
    3. i can go either peaceful like my time in Kauai or busy... love vegas... paris was fun

    Suggestions:

    1. The Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico (Cozumel, Cancun or Playa del Carmen). No, the place is not overrun with drug lords. A friend of mine from Germany worked at one of the resorts in Playa for 2 years and she loved it. She said because it's so touristy, they're very safe.

    2. Barcelona, Spain. Maybe too far since you prefer a shorter distance.

    3. Toronto, Canada. Maybe too cold depending on when you want to go.

Goggle "gay-owned Bed & Breakfasts" and you're on your way. Gays don't start those in bad places.

Goes to show how fucked up the weather system is. It's been around 50 degrees lately in some parts of the Southeast United States. People working on their tan are getting mad! icon_surprised.gif

So true! Last Sunday morning, it was in the mid-50's here in Orlando with a fairly strong breeze. I found it refreshing, but heard differently when I went to get a couple of newspapers that morning. Everyone was bitching on how cold it was!

That same day, I worked in my garden and it was a perfect, not-a-cloud-in-the-sky kind of day. I actually got a little sunburned!
