"Gentlemen, they’re not just for hipsters and the homeless any more. While both dead sexy and totally awesome, beards are also a boon to your overall health. Researchers discovered that men with beards and moustaches actually enjoy numerous benefits including, but not limited to, instant handsomeness."

The only thing that beards benefit you from keeping "young" is that the hairs on your face is blocking the suns UV rays, Other then that you must be on some drugs if you think it makes you look younger.

Beards make anyone look a whole lot older. Lol when I let my facial hair grow everyone thinks I'm like 27.

After a certain age a scruff-beard makes you look younger, as long as it isn't gray.

Humm..... I dunno... your one buddy on your profile list looks at least 10 yrs. younger, clean shaven.

But he is not past that certain age yet. icon_smile.gif (B.t.w., I think he looks hot without, but even hotter with the beard, and I don't see the difference in his apparent age that you do.)

After a certain age, scruff will definitely disguise the subtle change in facial shape that tends to come with aging, even if there is no weight gain, and especially if there is. If the scruff is dark, I think it provides some shadowing (like "airbrushing") that can make a softening or slightly sagging jawline and cheeks more defined and chiseled. It minimizes any jowls. It also definitely helps offset any frontal balding.

I'm not an expert, I only read what they say in the real world. Us gays are fashion leaders. For a long time facial hair was verboten. A few years ago gays began the mustaches and scruff, and looked hot obviously. The new trend is back to clean-shaven. Too much whisker-rub on the balls and razor-burned ass maybe? :-)

But seriously. Beards are not attractive on a man. Very Henry the VIII. That's why those guys stay healthy. They catch no STD's!

Umm, no, we're a good 5 years into a new cycle of facial hair. icon_confused.gif
He only says that because he looks awful with a beard, and is trying to hide his insecurities by promoting it as a trend.

Who cares if I look younger than 38 without a beard?! I AM thirty-eight! And younger guys still think I'm sexy enough, so... whatever. If I like a scruffy beard, then a scruffy beard shall be worn because it makes me feel comfortable with myself.

Life is WAY more interesting once you put less value in whether or not others assess you as valuable if you're young or hot...

Men with beards can't get elected in the U.S.

I was just looking at old pictures of me from before I had a beard, and now I know I'm not going back to clean shaven anytime soon.
