I am loving the new cd "Mosquito". I think its their best yet. I really cannot listen to this enough. Mix of uptempo and some slower stuff and a few surprises. Lots of positive reviews but also they are getting some negative reviews for repetitive lyrics but actually I think the simplicity of the lyrics and Karen O's delivery plus the music actually makes it all work perfectly

Thank god there is still someone in rock music than can take the stage and deliver with such confidence and presence. You can see how much fun she has up on stage performing. Karen is definitely the Siouxie Sioux of the 21st century.

Here are some samples from the cd.

Best song is "Under the Earth", a churning reggae tinged journey complete with some great vocal effects and blips and booms

of course Sacrilege the first single complete with choir that with make Madonna proud

and the funnest song on the cd..."Mosquito".."I'll suck your blood, suck ya suck ya suck ya"

I have seen 'em live a couple of times and thought they were pretty cool. Unfortunately their last London show didn't get good reviews - apparently it was more of a case of Hmmm Hmmm Hmmm. Pity. Love "Heads will roll" off the last album.

Love the yeah yeah yeahs. Though to be honest haven't been crazy about Mosquito. Might just need time for it to grow on me, but I prefer Gold Lion. Talking about their old stuff, Mystery Girl I think has a great beat to it.

Actually I find maps to be pretty boring given all their rawer stuff like date with the night and phenemona

Front woman is cool as fuck but it's not really my thing musically.

I loved this cover she did with Trent Reznor for the GWTDT soundtrack

Thanks for the info, I really enjoyed that intro to that movie!
Didn't know it was Trent Reznor covering Led Zep with her.
    Visual Image is incredible too!
