Is 'soldier' an umbrella term for all members of the armed forces, or just the army?

Inquiring minds would like to know icon_confused.gif

THIS IS TRUE!! ^^^^ My boyfriend of a few years back was a marine, & he'd be fast to correct anyone or get snarky to whomever referred to him as a "soldier"/etc.

That was a bit remiss, especially when jointery is fading the lines between the services so much these days (in the UK anyway).

Not a remiss at all hehe.

And yes soldiers are different to marines, but both are welcome of course.

You should know that starting an armed forces shout out thread on a gay website will attract the uniform chasers like bees to honey (except McQueen, of course, who'll call us all baby killers and Claystation, who'll appoint himself chief chasee).

Good intentions , bad judgement. I don't think any service members will use this thread to network. If anything they will do it in private away from certain freaks and chasers on this site...

What's the difference between a marine and a soldier? Marines are navy and soldiers are army?

I do know the similarity between them though: they're both delusional and serve a terrorist organization.

Soldier is a term only for the army. Marines are Marines. And Navy have Sea Men.

United States Army veteran here. Moved to Los Angeles from Chicago when I finished. Now getting paid to finish my degree. Was a combat medic. Make sure you use up your benefits! I do miss the military at times.

Nobody wants to hear the bullshit you have to say McQueen. If you dislike the military why are you clicking on their discussions?

    It's not bullshit.
What you believe you're fighting for IS bullshit though, and that's what you have to get through those thick, dense heads of yours. You're manipulated by your government and society.
