I've been recently getting into ska music. Ska Punk to be more precise. This style of music is not so popular these days and like always, I missed out on the fun lol. Evidently, my first would have to be No Doubt even though they were more of a fusion band but there earlier albums definitely had the Ska sound. Another one was the band Sublime.

I've discovered more Ska bands like Save Ferris, Mustard Plug, Reel Big Fish, The Mighty Bosstones, and The Planet Smashers and it's just so fun to listen to. Especially if you are having a bad day.

So yeah, I was wondering if there were any fans of Ska music on the site? All opinions are welcome. icon_smile.gif

Well, if you like ska punk, check out Operation Ivy. And of course Rancid.

I tend to like the older ska bands from the 80s. Selector, Let's Go Bowling, The Specials, English Beat, Madness (although I really hate Our House), Fishbone.

I actually have heard of Rancid and Operation Ivy. I listened to a few of their songs and I liked what I heard. I'll definitely checkout the other 80s one you mentioned though. icon_smile.gif

I was a big ska guy back in my middle to high school days. Against All Authority is good, their cover of Centerfold was pretty great. My favorite would have to be Pezz. If you know the band Billy Talent, they used to be called Pezz in their early days and were more Ska punk than what they are now, first album was great.
