Computer Science and Mathematics are Alike?

    I hear that computer science and mathematics are a lot alikeicon_confused.gif? how so? would any of you happen to know?

    Physics uses a lot of math too.
    I guess math is more fundamental, and other subjects focus on solving or describing a special area.

    Yeah, they are very similar. Both math and CS entail thinking algorithmically, applying quantitative skills, and reasoning within the framework of larger, formal systems. People who are good at math tend to be good at both programming and computer science, and vice-versa, because both disciplines require many of the same skills.
