I am so proud to be in the 12th state (my home state) to pass marriage equality! I was fortunate to be at the capitol and witness the announcement, even though all I could hear were the screaming people and inaudible loudspeakers echoing off of the rotunda. In any case, it was a great day. I know this isn't a question, but I am just so happy! Yay!

Ohio will be the biggie...if they manage to repeal the amendment and pass equality...that's it. There'll be no turning back then.

I don't think Texas is going to be any time soon icon_sad.gif

I wouldn't be surprised if it was the last state to allow same sex marriages.

As long as Mississippi and Alabama are states, Texas will never be the most discriminatory.

Sorry my friend but Texas is too religious and too conservative to legislate gay marriage. Hopefully the next two states to legislate gay marriage into law will be Illinois and New Jersey. It would be awesome if Pennsylvania would follow suit but they have too many other pressing issues at the current time.

Texas will be either the third or fourth most discriminatory in the US.

    Actually Illinois might be.

The word "might" here is important. The House is still about 12 votes short (the last I heard) and that may be enough to sink it this term.

I have my money on Illinois to be the next state to come into the light; others on track are New Jersey, Minnesota, Hawaii, Michigan, Oregon, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, and California.

Um, Minnesota legalized it 3 hours ago. That's what this thread is about...icon_razz.gif
