Favorite team: let's just say i bleed purple and gold

teams i dislike (ie hate): jazz, spurs, kings

mvp: oh i dunno, let's say dallas turns around their fortunes, ill give it to dirk

larry o brien trophy: right back to LA where it belongs. phil, you will have your 10th, you may retire as the greatest in this sport's history

My picks:

Favorite team - Boston Celts

Dislike- Lakers

MVP- Pierce

Champion- I hope the Celts, but I think the Cavs should get some glory. Even though I like seeing Lebron not get it, it is about time him and the Cavaliers do.

i grew up in new england, so i love the celtics. i live in LA but hate the lakers.

Grew up in Cincinnati, so I had to latch onto a million teams: First the showtime Lakers, then the bad boy Pistons, then the Nets (I was dropped on my head), then the Pacers, the T-Wolves, and now, really no one.

Lakers drive me insane, but that's mainly Kobe dislike. MVP this year will be LeBron - he's gotta up the ante for free agency in two eyars.

I'll take the Lakers this season, beating the Cavs for the title.

Love the fact that my YOUNG Hornets are flying under the radar of all these old teams ( See S.A. Spurs) and Chris Paul, who should have won last year, will be the MVP.

since i live in indy i would like to say the pacers, but since our last roster had too many gunfights at the strip-joints down the street we had to start over with a whole new team, so i am going to guess we are really going to suck this year! so i will go with my backup...carmelo and the nuggets baby!

I have to say that Chris Paul was my other choice for MVP ...i would not be surprised at all if he takes it over Lebron!

What about games played in October?

NBA Starts tonight! I get the NBA Package on DirecTV. Tend to watch the beginning of the season until college B-ball picks up (Dukie here!) - then tune back in once the Final 4 is over.

Games tonight:

Milwaukee @ Chicago - I haven't seen the Bucks this year, but saw the Bulls a few times and I think they've got a Lonnngggg road ahead. Del Negro will get them to play hard, but I can't see either of these teams making the playoffs this year.

Cleveland @ Boston - Could this be the Eastern Conference finals preview? Celtics should be there barring injury to Pierce or Garnett and LeBron looks like a stud and I like the addition of Mo Williams for the Cavs. Should be a good game. Will LeBron sit and watch the ring ceremony and dream of '09?

Portland @ Lakers - TrailBlazers are the sexy pick of this year - everyone thinks they'll be the Hornets of '09. MAYBE they make the playoffs, but tonight the Lakers will give them a lesson. I was a huge skeptic with the Bynum pick a few years ago, but he seems to be rounding into form and the Lakers could be the deepest team in the NBA this year. They are definitely the team to beat in the west.

Who is your MVP? I like CP3... Lebron has to do a lot for the cavs to win so he is in the mix, I think Dwight Howard will get some nods. Depending on health: Yao Ming could easily get some recognition in this category

Who is going to win it all? Houston Rockets

Favorite team: Pistons

Least favorite team: none really, but I will go with the Lakers

MVP---I really like Chris Paul too, but the NBA powers to be will be hoping that LeBron can win it.

Champions: Celtics until someone takes it from them.
