    Coral Springs, FL 33065
    Phone: (954) 752-4500

*Scramble: A scramble works this way: Each player on the team (usually groups of four but groups of three work also) tees off. The best of the four shots is selected, all players move their balls to that spot and play their second shots from a point that is within one club length of the selected shot. The best of the second shots is selected, all players move their balls to that spot and play their third shots; and so on until the ball is holed. If you miss your putt, do not "tap in" your putt until all players have played from that spot, otherwise your putt will count as the team score and the other players do not get a chance to hole out in fewer strokes!

We've got 37 signed up for the June 23 Scramble. It dawned on me that the one thing I didn't announce in the Scramble information sheet...all the participants are gay or lesbian. Also, while there are a few good golfers signed up, most of the rest of us are just out for the fun. Please, get over your shyness and come join us!

I did rigsby's last golf scramble in May, and it was great! I even got to be on his team.

And I promise you, even a novice and weak golfer like me will do OK. So sign up, it's great fun. More social than really competitive, in my view. I met the nicest men & women last time! icon_biggrin.gif

Another fun scramble yesterday (Sunday morning), nicely organized again. I do recommend these events, a good way for golfers of all skill levels to play together. A nice mix of gay men, lesbians, and a few straights, we all got along beautifully.

I believe the next one is being considered for late September or early October. Don't miss it!
