How does this happen? I thought Realjock was a closed website. I'm not sure this is a great idea.
Global_Citizen saidGoogle crawls the web and indexes content even on websites like RealJock that require registration and login. The forum contents are public.
Hey MikePhil, there's a way to block non-members from viewing your profile.
It's a button in preferences to allow only members and not the general public to peek at you.

It may not be that the person has something to hide, as in the person is doing anything bad. But just being exposed as being gay can cause problems in one's life. We have one fellow on RJ who has threaded how he was fired for being outted.
So a participate on RJ may have a legitimate reason for not wanting to be pulled on RJ up in a google search.
Although an obscure enough online handle would seem to enough protection, for example: caslon7000, who would google that to find out about me. Nobody.
debussy81 saidThat's because google is amazing. Your name is private on here but not your screen name. You can type an anyone's name in google and find stuff out. I do it all the time.
redheadguy saidI have lots to hide. I'm a secret KGB agent acting on behalf of Smirnoff and I'm infiltrating this site to hunt down all the rogue gay agents in the United States.
they need to make this site more popular.. and google is the only way ..
But I think there is an option in ur profile that only allows members to see ur posts
