I know we eat them with food in proteins but is it possible to eat the protein molecules by itself, in the form of protein matter or whatever it could be called? I mean like eat just pure protein without the other food stuff with it? I'm sorry if this isn't understandable I tried my best to explain.

    What is protein poisoning?
QuoteEarly American explorers who had to survive solely on lean meats, such as rabbits, sometime developed medical problems that resembled starvation. This condition, known as protein poisoning or rabbit starvation, is a medical condition in which your body does not get enough of the required nutrients even though you're eating sufficient amounts of calories. Protein poisoning is rare, though it is possible if you only eat lean meats.

From a chemical perspective, you could do it, but youd need to eventually also consume other things icon_razz.gif Not sure where'd you buy it though haha. Pure protein molecules would be enzymes and such, muscle contains protein but a lot of other other things too.

In order to be digested and absorbed properly, protein has to be consumed with some fat and some carbohydrate.

It could be possible, but very expensive. And definitely not a balanced diet.
The closest that you can probably come in a readily available food product is "whey protein isolate."

It's cute though. It's a good question man. But, don't you need energy in the form of ATP, which you regenerate from breaking down large nutrients, to build those "protein mlcs" or amino acids into lean muscle?

Proteins as an independent molecular structure are not finite... there are many "different kinds" or proteins. That is to say, that they are built in chains with other molecules and naturally occur that way. So consuming just protein wouldn't really be beneficial, as you would be missing the other components needed to make it functional for you body ... and It would be very difficult to isolate just the protein chunk out of naturally occurring chains or to build them chemically in a quantity that would be cost affective...
