Secret Service needs to pay this 'gentleman' a visit. Respectful disagreement is fine, but not this.

As long as we have freedom of speech, hate-filled morons will continue to spout garbage like this. The good news is that no one will approve or pay attention to such anti-everything rantings. Ignore the SOB in the realistic hope that he's a miserable as he is loathsome.

Right-winger clearly. But I refuse to associate this sort of spewing with any of my conservative3 friends, who would be as shocked as I am. Among about tne thousand other things, we need to stop associating the extreme wings with what average Americans actually think, even when we disagree. If only the parties would do the same.

Again, he was WAY over the line. Threatening a sitting president warrants a visit from the Secret Service. True, I disagree with this president most of the time, but he still is the president.

Agreed, that was exactly the way I felt about Bush/Reagan. (Which is why when I had the opportunity to meet Reagan when I was in college, I decided to do so happily, despite my disdain for many of his policies.)

With the near absolute right to free speech in the US (enshrined in the Constitution) comes this danger or price.

A visit from the ordinary police would suffice.

I was unhappy with Reagan for a very long time for just about singlehandedly costing Gerry Ford his reelection in 1976.

Very well put, and why I read your posts when we disagree over so much: respectful, low tolerance for threats and name-calling. Why can't more conservatives be so principled and calm?

While his words are despicable, the Constitution's First Amendment right to free speech allows him to say them.
Notice that he was very careful to not actually threaten to do anything. He merely said that he would like to.
Never the less, if I ran the circus, that fucker would be getting his taxes audited.

It sounds very similar to that lunatic Fred Phelps and his Westboro sycophants.

You've got to at least give him credit for not using the "C" word. His momma must have raised him right.

Sincerely, thank you! I think you'd be surprised on how much we agree.

I try to not to engage in personal attacks, name calling, etc., especially toward those who are not here to defend themselves. I'm sure you noticed a few days ago regarding one particular RJer who I feel became bullying and way over the top, I don't always succeed.
