The CEO of A&E is getting flak for his hiring practices, destroying unsold clothing instead of donating it to charity and open discrimination against less-than-beautiful or over-sized people from wearing their clothes.
Of course, A&E has a right to create an "Elite" cachet about their line, but is it proper for image-conscious gay men, in particular, to feed this discriminatory attitude?
Teens are impressionable victims of label-envy, but what about the legions of gay guys, gym fit, buffed, coiffed and manicured who want to feel 'in' at any cost?
Whatever happened to shopping around and finding the best pieces of clothing that fit you and look good - even if it doesn't have the corporate logo-du-jour emblazoned on it?
How image conscious do you have to be to pay EXTRA for something that was probably made in those same Bangladesh sweatshops that a no-name piece was?
A You Tube video addressing A&E by giving their clothes to the homeless has gone viral.

How beholden are you to the tyranny of labelism?

Edit your post from A&E to A&F. A&E is a TV channel. But to answer your question....no, not at all!
