LOL... Doubt even Mackelmore could make those threads neat, but I do like the mom is trying to tackle her daughter's vanity.

Edit; the mom spent 50 bucks for a two day punishment, hell no I can use that for something else...

I force myself to wear ugly thrift store clothes as punishment for being a cheap bastard.

But good for you, mom! It made the news because it's so rare to find a parent who doesn't endorse their child's bullying.

We as a society are ranting and raving against bullying yet look at what passes for entertainment; i.e., reality housewives shows which are nothing but a bunch of bitches bullying each other, Joan Rivers and her obnoxious Fashion Police show. I could go on but you get the picture. The human brain is like a computer: garbage in/garbage out. We keep jamming garbage in and act surprised when we get garbage out.

I wonder how much crap that mom allows her daughter to watch daily.

Go mom. This is how kids should be taught lessons, no violence or threatening needed.

Studies have shown that the best way human brain can understand the most is through experiencing it.

I would bet money that someone will sue and consider this mom abusive for emotionally damaging her daughter's self-esteem.

No law says you have to dress your 10 year old according to what she wants to wear.

What an absolutely brilliant way of dealing with bulleying. The punishment quite clearly fits the crime and thus makes the bully feel like the victim as she now feels insecure about her appearance.

I think this is excellent parenting. Perhaps I'm bias, but I was bullied when I was young.

The pictures in the article of the clothing purchased shows it was even worse than just thrift shop clothing. The mom made her dress like she was part of a polygamist cult.

Oh I know. I think this is brilliant. Some psychologist somewhere is going to argue that this caused the child emotional distressed.
