I was thinking about it and it really could decrease the number of rape victims if people were comfortable getting paid for sex with consent from the law to practice prostitution. Truth is, getting penalties is not something people like to do therefore, restrictions on money for sex equals rampant rapists. Also, if you post online about your preferences someone innocent could know that you are picky about sex when they approach you with an offer for your intimacy.

When children are a huge chunk of sexual abuse victims I say NO.

Sexual Predators equals rampant rapists, it has nothing to do with money.

I think prostitution should be legal but for very different reasons.

Rape is an act of violence, so I don't think legalized prostitution would prevent rape.

I do think that ostracizing women and labeling them as criminals for participating in the world's oldest profession is just a way to oppress women. Adults should be free to make their own choices and they should be protected by the law, not persecuted by it. You'll never get rid of prostitution, no matter how big you build prisons. Making prostitution a crime enables thugs and pimps to take advantage of women who are not protected by the police and are unduly shunned by society.

Is it still prostitution if someone pays you to put your clothes on?
