I'm going to Typhoon Lagoon and a few of the other events with some friends! I live in Orlando, FL and have never participated in the gay days festivities so I am looking forward to it! Hope you and your friend have a good time.

I'll be up there for it. Typhoon Lagoon is a really fun event! I lived there went I went to college. I'd say it'll be a fun way to celebrate turning 30 icon_biggrin.gif

Going to a few pool parties, Riptide, P House to see a few friends - I don't take the event to seriously and have fun.

Enjoy - If questions let me know and I will try to advise.

Cool. I've never been to Typhoon Lagoon but have done the other parties. Probably won't attend any of the parties or go to the bars. It's not really my thing. I'm looking forward to the parks though and maybe meeting some cool people.

Tell you what, when you're first week of cast training there is during gay days and almost every single rider compliments you on your smile and you get a few phone numbers, it quickly becomes the best job/happiest place on Earth! icon_lol.gif

I'm picturing circuit party boys at Typhoon Lagoon and The Magic Kingdom overrun by lesbians with strollers.

    Guess where I'd rather be...

For anyone who's never been to Gay Days, I will tell you as a former Disney Cast Member and a visitor of the parks, that the events are fun! It's more fun if you go with a huge group of people. Last time I went, there were 12 of us and we had a blast! You will definitely see some characters among the crowds and I'm not talking about Mickey, Goofy or Donald. But IMO, it's a great way to people watch as you will be highly entertained while waiting in line to ride Space Mountain.

It's a very chill fun time when I've gone to it, not going this year though.

Why a special day for the gays?

I'm not a massive one for huge 'gay events' - can get the reason for remembering the fight/cause, etc but think things like Pride events these days are now just a big piss-up/shag fest

And don't get me started on the 'gay community.' Ugh!!

I'd go just to check it all out. Unfortunately, it will have to be next year for me. It would be really fun, however. I hope we will get a report from all those RJ members who are going. Let us know what you think!
