I can't believe it was postponed!

As for HBP, it was the first book I read without seeing the movie. I was late to the books and started after OoTP. It took me 12 days to read all 7 and so this is the first one where I visualized everything without the cinematic bumper-lanes. I'm thinking of rereading them all this winter.

I read them the first week they were out, on each occasion. The books (as usual) are better than the movies.

I've been disappointed in some of the movies. But I like #5, even though I didn't like book 5.

Yeah, great trailer. I was a late convert to Potter. I'd seen the first two movies in the theater with friends who were fans, but I didn't really get it. Saw Azkaban on cable I think and still was "Eh" about it. But it wasn't until last summer that I saw Goblet of Fire on cable and it connected with me. Saw Order of the Phoenix with one of the friends who introduced me to the early movies when it came out a week or two later and it was with her that I bought the first book, the last one had just come out. So I read all seven in the course of a month. I've never read so much in my life. I'm so glad I didn't have to deal with a year or two breaks between them. So, Half-Blood Prince will be the first movie I'll see AFTER having read the book. I'm sure it'll drive me crazy knowing what the movie had to cut out. I just hope they don't spend too much time on the romance aspects. I'm happy they're splitting the seventh book into two movies, but they could easily have done the same with this one -- so much happens!

Yea, I can't believe it got postponed. I was lucky, when I first started reading HP, the first movie came out about 6 months later.

Have y'all heard Deathly Hollows is going to be 2 parts?

Yes! Which means they wont be cutting much out to fit it into 2 hours. That book was by far my fave. I was always a Azkaban boy until i read Deathly Hallows.

same here. I think H-B prince deserved to be in two movies, not the deathly hallows.icon_sad.gif

Sorry Eric, I've been getting lazy these days and just read the first post...

Sean's an azkaban boy, eh? I loved them all. though SS was slow, but CoS got me more interested.

And I agree, HBP should be 2 parts, but all of them should really... they left out sooooo soooo much in them all. They did do a great job, though. Can't wait to see this one!

I CAN'T WAIT!!! I love fantasy movies like this. Sure I'm excited for Twilight but I can't wait for Harry Potter as well. Stupid postponement.
