    This sounds interesting: a 64-oz reusable, flexible beer pouch, like a giant Capri Sun container.

    That's great! When the beer is gone I can refill the pouch with my Metamucil or my Ensure.

    I wonder if it's compatible with the Camelbak, because that would be awesome on a long ride. icon_lol.gif

    I doubt it, because the jostling might cause the pouch to explode with the pressure. Or would it blow out the bite valve? That's a reason you're not supposed to put carbonated beverages in a Camelbak.

    Which raises the question, what if you handle this BeerPouch roughly? Or forget it in a hot car. Will it swell up, maybe burst?

    And BTW, this basic idea has existed for centuries, only with natural materials. Ever drink wine from a Spanish bota? Fill it from a wine cask, then be on your way, light, soft & unbreakable, perfect for horseback. Or fill with water and you have a canteen.

    Actually the main use of the BeerPouch isn't to carry just any beer with you, but specifically craft beers that would otherwise go from the tap into a glass growler. This pouch doesn't replace cans or small bottles, but standard 64-oz growlers, giving you more portability, and freedom from the limitations of glass when taking craft beers from a brewery or brew pub.

    Beer Pouch --> Beer Belly?

    Drinking too much beer is easy enough already. What I need is a convenient grilled salmon or lean steak.

    Almost nobody has me on ignore except Undercover Man and who gives a crap about him.

    My question was who do YOU have on Ignore, like maybe turbobilly, since you posted his identical pic that's just 2 posts above yours, while saying: "Surprised no one has mentioned this:" icon_question.gif

    Back in college daze, bota bags were de rigueur for smuggling beverages into the football stadium. Don't they do that any more? Oh, right. Now they have monstrous "concessions."

    Anyway, a number of decent california wines (not just gallo) are coming out in similar containers now. It's worth a try for stocking the boat. After a couple of days, the volume of trash and empties that four people can generate becomes a serious issue.

    You old guys are always planning for such occasions aren't you?

    Might as well plan because when the urge arises we don't have much time.

    In my neighborhood it's just a brown paper bag. The liquor store will give you one for free.
