I have always believe that I and respect some else's views politically, religiously and the content of the morals.

This type of rabid thinking just leaves my heart heavy. read below.

I the reason why I did not want Obama to run for president is not because, I do not think that he would be good at because he would be.

My fear for him running is because of what the feds manage to block yesterday. I'm sure these are just a few of the death threats that he has received. The seeds of bigotry and racism has blossomed into "Strange Fruit"!

Feds say plot to kill Obama, others blocked

WASHINGTON — Federal agents have broken up a plot by two neo-Nazi skinheads to assassinate Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and shoot or decapitate 102 black people, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives said Monday.

In court records unsealed Monday in U.S. District Court in Jackson, Tenn., federal agents said they disrupted plans to rob a gun store and target a predominantly African-American high school in a murder spree that was to begin in Tennessee. Agents said the skinheads did not identify the school by name.

Jim Cavanaugh, special agent in charge of ATF’s Nashville field office, said the two men planned to shoot 88 black people and decapitate another 14. The numbers 88 and 14 are symbolic in the white supremacist community.

The men also sought to go on a national killing spree after the Tennessee murders, with Obama as its final target, Cavanaugh told The Associated Press.

“They said that would be their last, final act — that they would attempt to kill Sen. Obama,” Cavanaugh said. “They didn’t believe they would be able to do it, but that they would get killed trying.”

An Obama spokeswoman traveling with the senator in Pennsylvania had no immediate comment.

The men, Daniel Cowart, 20, of Bells, Tenn., and Paul Schlesselman 18, of West Helena, Ark., are being held without bond. Agents seized a rifle, a sawed-off shotgun and three pistols from the men when they were arrested. Authorities alleged the two men were preparing to break into a gun shop to steal more.

Attorney Joe Byrd, who has been hired to represent Cowart, did not immediately return a call seeking comment Monday.

Nylon rope, ski masks, top hats and tails

Cowart and Schlesselman are charged with possessing an unregistered firearm, conspiring to steal firearms from a federally licensed gun dealer, and threatening a candidate for president.

The investigation is continuing, and more charges are possible, Cavanaugh said.

The court records say Cowart and Schlesselman also bought nylon rope and ski masks to use in a robbery or home invasion to fund their spree, during which they allegedly planned to go from state to state and kill people.

For the Obama plot, the legal documents show, Cowart and Schlesselman “planned to drive their vehicle as fast as they could toward Obama shooting at him from the windows.”

“Both individuals stated they would dress in all white tuxedos and wear top hats during the assassination attempt,” the court complaint states. “Both individuals further stated they knew they would and were willing to die during this attempt.”

Cavanaugh said there’s no evidence — so far — that others were willing to assist Cowart and Schlesselman with the plot.

He said authorities took the threats very seriously.

“They seemed determined to do it,” Cavanaugh said. “Even if they were just to try it, it would be a trail of tears around the South.”

I have to say, the only Canadian I've come across thus far who's opposed to an Obama presidency claimed her beliefs that he'd be assassinated in office by some stupid white southerners...guess she may have been on to something

This is ridiculous. This is a ploy by the ATF. We haven't heard a peep out of the skinheads and other such nutbuckets since the Clinton administration.
The ATF could at least wait until after the election to begin a rein of terror.

And just what interest would Bush's ATF have in this, John?

See all that hate talk has the white supremacist and company stirred up. Isn't it ironic that by falsely claiming Obama is palling around with terrorists and so forth, they are CREATING terrorists and emboldening them.

Holy crap, you have a conspiracy theory for every occasion, don't you? Really? You think it's so unlikely-- that a couple of racist skinhead redneck assholes, their heads full of devotion to white/male/straight priviledge and entitlement, should get it into their warped minds to "cut that n*****'s head off" in the current rabid political climate with your nominees calling him (and you calling his supporters) "un-American"-- that you sincerely believe that the ATF made it all up? I'm sorry, but you *really* sound... deranged won't quite do it... insane. Yes, that's all I can come up with, you sound insane. Insane as in "living in some bizarre alternate (un)reality, oblivious to the actual world." It's actually frightening to see such a caricature where *everything* is "the other guy's fault." I thought that kind of fanaticism/brainwashing only happened in the movies.

Did you read this "Is this a trap" post? Where he was referring to the market crisis and the bailout as some sort of calculated move to..well I don't know what. It didn't make sense. He seems to live in an alternate reality.

I can't say this is a surprise, unfortunately. But I think this is giving these two -- and hate mongers in general -- more attention than they deserve. First these two were going to kill 88 other African Americans and decapitate another 14. What are the odds they were going to succeed at this act alone? Not very high. Even they didn't think they'd get close to killing Obama.

But, I'm sure there are others out there plotting acts against Obama. There are going to be a lot of fringe people out there who won't react well to Obama being elected. But, like the "Islamic terrorists" we're hunting, we can't let these people rule our lives.
