Partner, Friend and I will be in Northern California for 2 weeks in late June. Thinking about staying a couple nights in one of the gay resorts on our way back into San Francisco from Tahoe. It will most likely be during the week and not the weekend. Any suggestions?

There are a lot of great places along the Russian River. I just got back from Guerneville yesterday, but along the 116 there are a number of small resorts and towns to choose from. There are also a lot of folks that rent out cabins...AirBnB is a great place to look, especially if you're travelling during the week. It will be relatively quiet.

@4another... Thanks bud. Not necessarily looking for quiet, but will check it out.

Yes I live in that area and would reccomend staying at the R3 Resort in Guerneville, and make a side trip to the
Ocean and armstong woods from there or go wine tasting cause our wineries rock

    We stayed here: http://www.highlandsresort.com
Quiet cabin in the the woods, pre-ordered a cheese and meat basket and had a great time. The drive to the ocean was beautiful and the wine in the area was great (http://www.hookandladderwinery.com).
    Enjoy!

The Woods resort is another option. Both the Highlands and the Woods have a clothing optional pool area but no bar so they are quieter than the R3 resort and you can get naked. If you are looking for a busier pool party atmosphere with music and alcohol then the R3 resort is fun. The Woods and the Highlands offer day use passes so you can always check out any of the places easily as they are all within walking distance

    Arg.

I was going to bike up to that area this weekend and camp for a couple nights to allow for some wine/gay/hike stuff, but my bike headset and shifters were stolen. So instead of an awesome weekend away, I'm out $600.

    Worst Memorial Day weekend ever.

No suggestions as to gay resorts, but you will be in/near a good vineyard area - check out some of the wines. In SF, check out the gay film festival, which will be running the last 2 weeks of June.
