So I just watched the season premier of Arrested Development and had to stop half way through the second episode. I stopped watching because I thought continuing to watch these horribly embarrassing and more often boring renditions of what happened to the Bluth family after the final episode of Season did more damage to my love for the series.

I am ready to accept that I suddenly became depleted of any sense of humour; I do love the series and tried to enjoy the first two episodes of the new season. Has anyone had the chance to check out the season 4 on netflix? If you have, I would love to hear what you've got to say about the new episodes.

Watched the first 6 last night. I think they're fantastic. I'm loving all of the new site gags, and how the show keeps referencing their cancellation. I died when the "Showstealer Pro Trial Version" text came up with the past footage.

I saw the first two episodes, and as a long-standing fan, I really liked them. The first one was slow, but the second picked up steam, and they are very much in the spirit of the original series.

The only real misstep was the casting of Young Lucille and Young George. She is too contrived, and he is too meek. But come on, Barry (the lawyer) delivered, and the Great Drom Room Vote was schadenfreudly funny. Can't wait until Lindsay and Tobias are back on!

Loved it. Sight gags were hilarious!
Hate to admit it but we watched the whole damn season already.
Tobias used to annoy the hell out of me but he really made me laugh hard this season (his license plate sent me over the edge!) They went a little overboard on the cameos but classic interweaving of the story lines kept us wanting more...

Besides, it was a good excuse to stay in bed all day icon_wink.gif

About to watch the finale - I love this season! Each episode centering on a different character is a nice touch, and helps catch us up on what happened to each one during the break.

I don't see how someone who liked the original couldn't like these episodes? I was trying to watch them at work on the low and I was cackling.

I'm shotgunning the first 3 seasons on Netflix before I dive into the new one, just so I can remember how brilliant it was (and hopefully still is). icon_lol.gif

I've been watching it, and so far, Season 4 is mediocre.

The season starts out slowly, but it gets better once you get to episode 4. (Only through 8 episodes so far). Tobias's episode is pretty fantastic. I get the feeling that this is a build up either to the long rumored movie or a more typically AD like season for season 5. Either way, if you view the season through the lens of one season-long episode, rather than 12 individual episodes, you'll like it a lot more.

Its a very slow start, and not nearly as many laughs as before...but it's not bad. I have a feeling the movie will be great.

I was surprised to see they made Michael more like the rest of his family. He used to be the level headed one. But overall I really enjoyed it, more so as the episodes pieced together more information from the same timeline of the first episode.

Portia de Rossi's plastic surgery is really killing it for me.

The first episode was a snooze fest, George Michael is not funny and Michael is the least funny of the Bluth kids. Loving the Tobias, Lindsay, George Sr and Lucille centered episodes.

My favourite show! The first four episodes started out slow, and you really have to not let that discourage you. It is setting things up for you and makes reference to them later. The episodes after that get really good.
