How many of you guys saw this movie on HBO last night
I was expecting it to be OK, but I was blown away
    by the performances
and the frankness of the portrayals
I'm not a Micheal Douglas fan ... but he was fantastic in his portrayal of Liberace
Matt Damon gave a restrained but really true performance of someone who gives up their identity in order to be in a relationship .... no matter how toxic it is

and the supporting cast ... Rob Lowe icon_cool.gif and Dan Akroyd as well

    what did you guys think?

There are previous threads here about this. But the topic may deserve to have several.

Yeah, we liked it. As I wrote in another thread:

Lowe was positively comical, and Reynolds milked the relatively small role she had.

Douglas was by turns campy and great. Damon was spectacular, and surprisingly believable as a teen at the beginning. My husband loved the show, too.

I thought it was fantastic! Rob Lowe was mesmerizing in his role, Matt Damon and Michael Douglass performed their asses off. I set it to record so I could rewatch but I am sure HBO will play the hell out of it for the next month or so.
