Hey guys, I had a question about leg workouts. My "workout room" at my apartment complex has three leg workout machines:
    1.) Leg Curls
    2.) Leg Extensions
    3.) Leg press

However the leg press machine either works or doesn't depending on whether people at my complex screw it up. Lately I have been just doing leg curls and leg extensions and calf raises. That's all I can do. As of now I do not have enough money to pay for a gym membership even at the U. (University of Oklahoma).

Do you guys have any routines or something or any other ideas for leg workouts that I can do?

Thank you guys. Really appreciate it.

Honestly, all three of those machines are just supplemental exercises. The Leg Press machine would be better than the other two but you say that's not even working sometimes. Do you have access to any barbells or dumbbells?

I would make Air Squats my main leg exercise. And once you get your reps up there, your cardio will automatically be included.

Don't use any of them. Do body weight squats or wall squats. Go get a resistance band. Do step ups on the bench.

Are there any dumbbells in the gym at your apartment complex? If so, what about lunges?

I have a problem with smith squats and bar squats. Switched to an Olympic Trap bar after discovering leg raise machines do bad things to your knees.

Just have to find gloves that keep the trap bar from killing my hands as weight goes up.icon_evil.gif

What's wrong with the good ol' fashion lunge?

There are no dumbbells or anything like htat. Everything is a machine. There is a bicep curl station, a trap-pull down, and a chest machine. and that's it.

Get a pair of 20kg+ Kettlebells and do lunges and goblet squats with them.

Or Pistol Squats (google it). Done right, those will burn the shit out of your quads and hammies.

I agree. Forget that stupid gym....sounds like a joke. You're better off at home I think. Just finished doing my Pistol Squats with no weight and my ass and legs are on fire! You'll want to start out by doing them on a chair. Then do them on a low coffee table or stool, then do them with no assistance.

Are there any steep hills around your area? A few uphill sprint sessions will have your legs burning in no time

No machine can simulate weighted one-leg squats.

I have one really steep in my neighborhood, so that's where I walk my dog.
