I don't do them and sometimes feel like a mis-fit. But, I'm okay with that. So many of my gay friends I've met over the years do recreational drugs. In fact, all of my long-tem best friends have used drugs on a weekly or bi-weekly basis! I've heard and seen guys do E, Coke, Crystal, GHB,Vicadin, Xanax...binge drinking.

I recently met a guy who was once again, into it. The 1st night I turned it down around his friends. I would not do it. Then the next night, I got drunk (oops) and mixed 2 drugs + alcohol that damn near could have killed me from my research. I won't go into detail of what they were, but I couldn't stop throwing up, and then I tripped out like I never tripped out before for maybe 2-3 hours. Fortunently, I got it all out of my system after throwing up a dozen times. My friend doesn't remember ANYTHING that happened that night, including me shaking him like a baby and yelling at him for being around drugs while he slept lol. I was too embarrassed to tell him.

I'm just tired of it. I questioned myself after that night asking if I really wanted to continue going to bars every weekend or even immersing myself in the gay scene any longer. I don't need to be around that shit to have a good time. But so many guys do it. Or they don't tell you...and 1 day you go over their house and they are doing meth. Are we as a people really that damaged to resort to this stuff? I don't want to smoke weed, sniff coke, light T, pop pills...non of that fucking shit.

Yes, I have noticed that too. I have never done drugs and don't plan on doing them. But I have noticed that there are quite a few gay guys that do. Even when I was at a bar there was a cute guy. I was too nervous to go by myself so I had my friends go up to his group of friends. And we met. And then later I found out that two of my friends sniffed on something from them. I had no idea that that had happened. But after I found out I was more than a little disappointed.

It's a phase. 25 is a good age to wind down from it.

Are you talking about me or the guy who responded above you?

I'm not condemning anyone...but first hand I know that nothing good comes out of using drugs consistently over an extended period of time. I just don't understand why it's so prevelent. The issue I have is the fact that many people who do it, don't understand that I don't do it and try to coerce it on me, which is what happened that night.

I say as long as it doesn't interfere with anyone else let these men take what ever damn substance they want to put in their bodies.
When it does become an issue and impacts friends, family and complete strangers its obvious that those men in particular shouldn't be doing so.

A few weeks back I was out and this absolutely stunning man and I started talking together and all of a sudden he put his hand on my shoulder and just just face planted the floor, here I am carrying this 35 yr old out to the smoking area where my friends where and I sit him down, get him some water and establish his had just a little too much GHB.
Drugs have and always will play a big part in the gay scene from Amyl all the way up to meth but its for these individuals to judge when enough is enough.

it's always the hot guys too. Especially the ones I like with tattoos. I want to get a tattoo, but if it's going to make me start doing drugs I don't want one. Nah I'm kidding I know there's no correlation.

It's fucking true dude. The more tattoos a guy I meet has, the more drugs he uses. I don't get it. Please explain. The cute friend in this post had em from his wrists to his neck and across the other arm. Sexy, artistic...but dang, he was around drug dealers day and night.

New gay friends that use drugs? I agree icon_lol.gif 98.7% of guys I have known who didn't do drugs...had removed themselves in all totality from social gay scenes.

I dunno this guy that I met recently is way into the gay scene and has lots of tats and his body looks haggard so I assume it's from the drug use. Maybe they don't see their bodies as something to be respected and untouched, which causes them to put art all over it in addition to abusing drugs with it?
    Just a hypothesis.

In the west of Oz they are smoking crack, its unbelievable how many are doing it. I just met up with some old friends and started chatting to a rather neat and tidy guy who has a great job, but spends his weekends getting shit faced and I suspect weekdays too.

Im no angel and had my fair share of "partying' when i was younger, but lately Im finding loads of guys in their 40s and older still carrying on like they were under 25.

Exactly the same is happening over on the east coast as well.
Some times its really a little tragic to see but then again its there choice to do so.

I have lost so many friends by this age to drugs that it amazes me guys who are older, havent had the same happen to people around them, yet they keep smoking that shit.

I have a tattoo and I have never tried drugs. There are many people I know who have tattoos and have never taken anything other than prescribed by the doctor.
