If I could swallow their overdrammatic take on EVERY bit of news, I'd make them my primary news source.

I certainly applaud FOX for actually being "fair" for once. This "Joe the Plumber" is really someone whos political views I have little respect.
I've wondered if we will find out at some point that he was really a republican "plant" when he asked Obama those questions prior to the last debate. It all just seems too "neat".....

This is further proof he is a Republican operative. What "average Joe" would say something like that?

JtheP strikes me like so many of the Repubs that I have seen interviewed. They cant back up what they say. Have they no brains? Dont they see the disconnect between espousing a view and not having any basis for it?

WOW! I did not see that coming at all. Listeing to Joe the plumber gave me a headache.

He got tripped up over his own words. What a gem he is! YOU GO JOE!

Vote for Obama is a vote for the Death of Isreal.. Nove 4, can't get here soon enough!

According to a local news story I saw a few weeks ago, "Joe the Plumber" is actually a relative (nephew I think) of one of Charles Keating's sons-in-law who lives here in the Cincinnati metro area.

I think JtheP was intended to be the Republicans' infamous and always talked about October surprise.

    So much for that.

He can't give a straight answer, because there are no facts to back up what he's saying.

It seems pretty obvious what McCain's campaign is doing... lie, and then try to make facts to support your lie when called into question.

Well I wonder if his foreign policy credentials are as real as his plumbing credentials? In any case, I don't know why the media gives him the time of day. They might as well get election analysis from the crazy "he's an Arab" lady with the rats nest hair-doo

He was the October surprise that backfired! WHAT A SURPRISE THAT WAS! This campaign is sinking deeper and deeper in to the abyss!

For Shepard to defend Obama and Fox news no less. I'm kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop!

I applaud Shepard Smith for defending Obama. I am getting tired of "Joe the plumber" I love how we now have "Tito the builder" who is going after the media for going after "joe the plumber." Well guess what he deserved the media to look into his past as he won't go away. Who is he and why is he getting any more publicity? I am so ready for this election to be over and for the mud slinging to stop and the crazy to go back to their holes.

Why is this douchebag out there on the campaign trail? He just sounds like the "hate" child of W and Palin. Can't back up his opinions with FACTS, he just subscribes to what the republican propaganda is feeding him.

A single person on FOX news shows some integrity. The rest of the crew is bashing Obama for being anti-Israel. I don't think this changes anything for the network as a whole.

I kind of like that they keep feeding stuff to Joe cause he's making the McCain supporters look more and more like blind followers of a party.

One woman today said "Fox is the only network that's balanced."

I was under the impression most were being cautious about supporting Obama and Fox was all for McCain but that's just me.

I wish more people (media and laypersons) could show such regard for facts and substantiation instead of letting baseless rhetoric go unchallenged.

Shep Smith demanded some solid substantiation to back up the Plumber's assertions and the Plumber couldn't do it. All he could say was people should go find answers for themselves. In other words, he's bullshitting.

Politics has become too fond of baseless assertions that go unrefuted. I wish more people would develop a skeptical nature when it comes to political claims.

JtheP now has a media consultant...And a book deal is in the works. A book deal? I'd be more interested in knowing if he's ever even READ a book!

    A book deal...God bless America.

Looking for a primary news source, choose Newshour on PBS and NPR. The best by far remaining today.

The 24 hr nets - don't care for any of them. They'll drop real issues for the latest missing wife or murder-mom in a flash.

LOL!! She was a nut wasn't she? I'm glad she popped up on her way to the beauty parlor. It was living proof of some of the lunatics out there who really believe such "he's an Arab" crap. And I did admire him, for the first time in this election, by shutting her up.
