    Hey

Being a CS major, I like to come across cool Indie games. At the most recent Ludum Dare, where developers had to create a game in just 2 days... TWO DAYS!, I found this gem called "You Must Escape". Basically, you have to use echo location to make it to the end of the level.

Which leaves me to ask what is your favorite Indie game?

I would say Flower. It was a work of art, very beautiful and the music was perfect for each level.

Haven't really played/heard much about too many Indie games. I'm an MMO fan, which is probably at the opposite side of the development scale lol.

2 Days? My mind was just blown. It takes me weeks just to create a few models for a 3D scene. icon_eek.gif

I usually spend my money on higher end games, (not that I don't like indies, but I'm barely able to follow my favorite couple of video game series, let alone spend on indie games) but my favorite indi is probably Skull Girls (for PS3 and Xbox 360). It was beautifully done visually, and had just as much depth and complexity as any other fighting game. It's only flaw was that because it was an indie, it was so small. Where fighting games have 30+ characters, this only had 8. It was a true gem though.

I loved this game by the way. Very unique and truly interesting. I'm definitely gonna be playing it.

I really liked Limbo a lot. The gameplay was very simple, but the atmosphere was so dark and creepy.

Other games I really liked were Legend of Grimrock, Rock of Ages, Orcs Must Die, Trine (1 & 2), Super Meat Boy. I heard Papo Y Yo was supposed to be really cute, but I haven't played it yet.

There's actually a bunch of cool indie games on the way, especially with the success of Kickstarter.

Chaos Chronicles, Apotheon, Wasteland 2, Shadowrun Returns, Age of Decadence, Hero U, From Dust, to name a few.

I haven't played much indie games but Limbo definitely comes to mind when I think of one. I had to take short breaks in between to play that one haha some of the scares were too much to handle.

Amnesia: the Dark Descent is my favorite, but I don't think the company that made it is considered indie anymore.
