And 9/10 of the hateful idiots were undoubtedly angry white Republicans.

Most of the outrage is probably from black women because the ad enforces the stereotype that black men prefer to be with white women than black women.

    The comments are interesting:

No one can eat Cheerios unless they're covered in sugar. That's why they can sort of make their back-handed health claims for Cheerios (it's not like they're made of oats) — but those go right out the window once people actually eat the stuff.

I agree, they are awful. My toddler loves them.....but he also likes to eat sun block.

...two husbands: One 1/2 African 1/2 Asian (with ebony skin, black hair and almond shaped brown eyes), and the other 1/2 Caucasian 1/2 Latin American (with dulce de leche skin, red hair, and round shaped blue eyes). And then...

Funny, I snack on Cheerios during the day, directly from the box. No milk, no sugar, no nothing, dry. And they ARE made with oats, the first listed ingredient on the box, my doctor telling me it's a breakfast cereal I should eat, along with oatmeal (but not the instant variety), because of my high cholesterol.

BTW, do those same conservative "segregationists" have a problem with Clarence "Uncle" Thomas, Assoc. Justice of the US Supreme Court, for his having a white wife? Just like in this Cheerios commercial? Or does his extreme Right Wing judicial philosophy earn him a pass with them?

I agree. It seems like a typical Cheerios commercial. It's ridiculous that anyone would make a fuss over it.

    What year is it?

Surely people are not still holding onto those tired old bigoted views.

Hasn't science proved that the first man (and woman) came from Africa and so we're all probably mixed race anyways?

    Nice ad though.

Science has also proven they we bred with Neanderthals. We didn't wipe them in violence, as was previoulsy thought, but actually bred them out over a 10,000 year period of cross breeding. So, we all have a little Neanderthal in us. Cheers!icon_smile.gif

    Are you really that stupid?

    He has a point though.

A large portion of black women still have the 'white women stealing our men' syndrome.

Go onto any black women's blog or online magazine or media and that's like always the first thing someone talks about and you always have a lot of thing black women in the comments section.
