Are you saying you agree or disagree with this? I think it's way off base.

Some good points, that have been discussed on this site before.

I know! The list was just one person's unqualified opinion and didn't deserve to be posted as something insightful.

In my straight office, calling a guy "gay boy" is affectionate and accepted. "Girl" would be offensive.

Article seemed kind of petty. More like one guy's list of complaints than valid suggestions. icon_neutral.gif

Calling each other girl must be a regional thing. I wouldn't overreact to it. It's meant as a term of endearment.

I'd just like to add that I've seen better written posts on RJ than what the article provided us with.

Without having read the list in the OP - my list of things for gay men to stop doing:

    1. Don't be catty bitches: stop tearing each other down, especially over superficial things like looks or education or income. We get more than our fair share of bullshit (if not outright aggression) from homophobes and bigots.

    2. Actually learn how to communicate with each other beyond sex and partying.

    3. Be on time. Sadly, too many guys are on "gay standard time", which generally runs about an hour to 90 minutes late of any given meeting time. Consistent lateness to dates and other social engagements is a mark of disrespect and disregard for the people who you are meeting.

    4. Turn the motherfucking smartphone OFF when on a date or meeting with anyone who just might be slightly more important than that moldy dish of potato salad in the back of your fridge.

    5. Be honest online - a (reasonably clear and currrent) headshot of yourself, height, weight, waistline, will go a long way toward establishing an initial trust than if you look like Gollum and try to pass yourself online as Channing Tatum.

    /done.

    This !!!

    11) FAKE TANNING. I don’t have anything against tanning per se BUT there are certain kinds of tans that are just unacceptable — like the ones that come out of a bottle! I need you to not rub off on my sheets k thanks. This is a lesson I would like to extend to all people in society. Your skin color should not be coming out of a bottle, and if you’re going to get tan at least make sure your booty is the same color as the rest of you!

I wish people wouldn't tan. What's so bad about being pasty?

I think I agree with all of the points. If all men did this, the world would probably be a better place.

    /high five to HottJoe

    Hear, hear!

    Fake Tans = Guido Wannabe

Too much UV Tanning = Roasted Grandpa look by 30

I'll keep myself white and pasty. Srsly, if I were any lighter skinned, I'd emit light.

I have no idea- I guess a lot of people associate paleness with being ill and tans with happiness/just coming back from vacation. Like you I love my milky white men and not someone who looks like they have bathed in Orangina.

Haha, that's just a trend from the 90s that needs to die.

Don't be silly. It's one of my rare compliments.

It's true. The other day he called me a slut, and it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Yup. Drag Queen/porn starlet eyebrows aren't for everyone.

Then again, if I didn't take a little off the edges, you make a sweater from my untamed monobrow.

I wouldn't stop with the eyebrow grooming. All the waxing and shaving is so 90s.

    I was to like #3.

Now if we are not to look down on queens (one was not talking for ones self in that either, I accept there are some guys that you fuck, and others that you marry. Then it's not OK for a male to call another man girl.icon_wink.gif
