Syrinx

An MRI I had done recently shows a possible Syrinx in my spinal chord with softening and inflammation, to the left, in the area of C4 to C6.
Specialist appointment has been booked for August 13th and I'll find out what is next.
I've lost 50 or so pounds working out and watching my diet over the last couple years and I want to continue. My GP was of no help here.
Does anyone know of any web sites that might assist in what I should and should not be doing for working out?

    Thanks much

How large was the syrinx compared to the cord? Was there an associated cerebellar herniation (chiari malformation). Did they give you contrast for the MRI?

I googled spinal chord syrinx and got quite a few results. Did not even have to read through one of them to know that you need to ask your doctor any questions you may have.

If something comes up with my health that bothers me, I google for general info but always quiz the doctor(s) on specifics because so much can vary.

    Take care and good luck.
