    Ranking out of 51 (50 states + D.C.)

    Ranks 11 - Minnesota 5.3% (blue state)

    Ranks 17 - Massachusetts 6.4% (blue state)

    Ranks 17 - Texas 6.4% (red state)

    Ranks 19 - Louisiana 6.5% (red state)

    Ranks 31 - Florida 7.2% (not in the top 25) (blue state)

    Ranks 34 - New York 7.8% (not in the top 25) (blue state)

    Ranks 43 - D.C. 8.5% (blue district)

    Ranks 45 - New Jersey 8.7% (blue state)

    Ranks 48 - California 9.0% (not in the top 50%) (blue state)

    Ranks 50 - Illinois 9.3% (Surprise to me) (not in the top 50%) (blue state)

    I wish NY had less than 6% unemployment, maybe I would consider moving back there, then.

    Interesting list (though I wish you had posted the entire list, but I suppose anyone can view it using the link provided).

    Seems those states that strongly supported Obama are doing the worst. Not that it is Obama's fault, of course not!

    But take heart, perhaps this summer will be "Recovery Summer" icon_wink.gif
