It says a lot about the embedded, subterranean, racist, ignorant and prejudiced views still commonly held throughout the US, that this advert has become such a hotbed for 'controversy' in today's supposed modern times.

The ad isn't really controversial - there were a number of online insulting comments posted on the utube run of the ad. The whackos are always the first to post online comments on any subject.

I'm truly and honestly don't see anything wrong with this. A mom tells a girl about what's on a cereal box, confirming what the father said and the little girl already suspected.

    Maybe I'm ignorant? icon_eek.gif

When will you guys realize not to believe everything you read.
There is no controversy. Google it. Actually, you're the ones acting prejudice.
If you want something to be upset about - look at the deformed baby video that cones after. O... M... G...

Exactly what is it that you were reading that encouraged you to come to this conclusion?

Well, the leading cause of death for African Americans is Heart disease, so I guess they're marketing towards the AA community. I thought it was cute and at the end it read LOVE and not to mention an interacial family.... The face of American will change everyday if we loose our senseless hang ups.
If their is any controversy, the viewer read too much into what the message is. Geeze *sigh*

No matter what anyone does, lunatics somewhere will object.
But it's not called controversy. Controversy means no one is sure what's right.
If Nazis say they want Jews exterminated, that's not called "The Jewish controversy."
The articles say the youtube vid was taken down because trolls were filling it with hateful racism.
How could anybody be surprised that racists reacted poorly to a mixed race marriage portrayal?
(Was the ad pulled from TV? If so, I stand corrected.)
Who would read an article entitled "Racists object to inter racial marriages?" Not me. It would be the same old stupid thing.
So the news people, always dishonest, called it a controversy to drum up readers.
There is no controversy. We all know the ad is fine.

Whaaattt? But, but racism doesn't exist in America! That "controversy" thing is clearly a scam fabricated by the whiny racial minorities that like to victimize themselves.

And here you are again to totally confuse a discussion by making things up.
I notice you added a black to your profile right after I asked you why there were no black people on your hot list. You're a phony.
