    Amazing. And, much of what Tim is saying about learning a language I am finding true as I am learning Spanish.

    Specifically, "Watch the TV."
    Yes, I know I haven't had a TV since 2002. But, the internet channels for a foreign country can be very helpful for just the reasons Tim mentioned. Pace, use of colloquialisms, and social context.

    And, Tim is right that when I speak to others in their native tongue, there seems to be more of a connection to the audiences' hearts. I found this true when I was teaching here in Buenos Aires the other week. Whenever I could comfortably and appropriately switch to Spanish (specifically Rioplatense using Argento slang) the class really seemed to coalesce.
