How many of you prefer to sleep in your own bed versus the guy's you just met?

I think some guys get irked at me when I don't stay over the night with them, but I have so many reasons for not wanting to sometimes. (Pets/roommates/street parking/traffic next day/bed/etc.).

I always find myself saying no to friends/dates asking me to spend the night. I'll wake up and feel my equilibrium is off at someone else's house and I'd never take a #2 in their bathroom. I would rather they stay over at my place...because I get up and cook breakfast, the temperature is right, it's clean, no roommates, my bed is comfortable.,,,but I don't live in the center of town and most people always insist on their place no matter what the condition of their house is. And I've seen some despicable standards of cleanliness mainly with guys in their 20s (I've had times where I actually cleaned friend's bathrooms for them so I could shower, because it was so bad).

I'm not trying to sound like a prissy fuck or anything. But years ago, the first night I spent with a guy would be at a hotel that we would split together. Of course I was 18-19 back then, but it just had more meaning. These days people just do sleep overs in each others beds without even thinking twice. Little do people know, that's a very 'BF' thing to do, to not have a commitment. Even if I'm sleepy as hell and it's 0 degrees out and a foot of snow, I'll still walk 3 blocks, get back into my car and go home LOL. Eventually I will spend the night, but just doing it just to do it...what gives?

I'd rather sleep peacefully...regardless of who's bed it is.

Nope, never was so fussy. Maybe my Army career, sleeping on bare ground at times, or even sitting upright, dozing against a tree. So my demands are not very great.

I think the only time I couldn't wait to get out a guy's bedroom was when I entered a real pigsty. Clothes totally covered the floor, the blankets and top sheet were also on the floor, only the mattress sheet was in place. I could see that the kitchen sink was piled high with dirty dishes. I went into the bathroom, and it was an indescribable sewer.

He was a bottom, but when he saw my hardon he said he couldn't take it. Fine, I didn't bother offering him an alternative, I just dressed and left as quickly as I could.

But aside from an extreme like that, when single I used to like sleeping with guys I had met. I can't imagine why I wouldn't.

And BTW, below zero temps and snowy conditions were a perfect excuse I used to great advantage to persuade guys to let me sleep over with them, when I lived in North Dakota. I'd drive into town knowing bad weather was coming, and hope for the best. My fall-back would have been a motel room, but I never had to use one. icon_wink.gif

But I kid you not, in my age bracket almost 90% of guys live in those kind of conditions and I just don't get it. You walk in and the room is chaos. Like is that your clothes on the bed or did your closet just fall over? And damn is that rust stains on the toilet, or shit spray that hasn't been cleaned in over a year?

But I'm not really making an issue of that, it's just the overall sleeping over in general. I always like sleeping over with the guys who have an extra guest room...now that, I can deal with lol.

I'm not picky, just get me a bed to sleep in comfortably. icon_smile.gif

Although, it seems people don't do sleepovers anymore since the inception of the internet, don't ask me why.

I remember going out to the bar to get laid and waking up for breakfast was the norm.

Well people still do that LOL...If I was intent on making it happen, it'd be every weekend for me.

For example, I met a guy couple weeks ago at the bar. I slept over at his place. He had a roommate who also had a 'trick' (as he put it) he went home with it. His roommate sent the 'trick' home in the morning. Then he barges into the room saying, "who's your trick?" And my sleeping buddy says, "well I wasn't going to let him drive home that late at night". I've seen him out at the bars since that time, and he barely even acknowledges me.

That's the stuff I don't want happening! If someone wakes up the next morning and their roommate wants to see who the next 'trick' is they slept with..that gives me a bad reputation. I also don't want to share a bed with a guy who can't be arsed to acknowledge me after it's all done.

In my hooking up (one-nighter) days I always made sure my place was clean with fresh bedding turned down just right; fresh towels; soap & shampoo and extra toothbrushes, toothpaste & mouthwash in the bathrooms. I even had a spa robe hanging on a wooden hanger on the back of the door for a guest's usage. Before I went out at night (when I thought I might bring home somebody special) I left the lights low; music cued up; some cut fruit and some vodka & Chambord ready for us when we came back to my place. I put some wood in the fireplace ready to light quickly and did what I could to make the place ready for a little something hot & fun. I noticed and appreciated when guys did the same thing for me in return. Once or twice I did go home with someone - - - only to be turned off when I saw a filthy shower or apartment. I'd just say "Hey - this place is a sty. I'm not staying. Goodnight."

If we're talking about a 1-night stand, then I'd rather be in my own bed alone. When a hookup was done, I followed a simple rule...."Thanks now get out!" icon_razz.gif

    Always their place. Reasons:

    1. My room is very untidy
    2. The walls in my flat are very thin and my housemate wouldn't be spared a thing icon_eek.gif
    3. If he was the type to take stuff, he can't
    4. I can leave early the next day if I want to

I can relate to that. When I was younger, I didn't care. Now I want my own bed.
If I'm in *l*o*ve* I don't care but it's been a long time since I've been in love.
I also raised a few eyebrows last month when I said in another thread that if I move in with another guy, I want separate bathrooms. I've had my own bathroom for years now. It's nice.

I can't stand messy or of dirty rooms. Plus you want to at least seem like a clean person if you're going to have someone over (friends, or perhaps a hookup), I don't see why people leave everything so messy.

I like sleeping in my own bed, but I prefer sleeping in bed with a guy I like, even if it's his bed rather than mine. When I'm with a guy I like/have hooked up with, I find myself too interested in being with him at that moment to really spend time comparing his bed to my own; we could sleep on his couch for all I care.

I can deal with a messy (but not dirty) bedroom. What I have problems with is a dirty bathroom.

My own bed first, I keep my bed and room pretty clean/tidy.
Second choice would be a nice hotel !!!!
Third, to the guy house, I usually have to feel some sort of a vibe to go home with him, god knows if he's like a serial killer or if his bed is even clean at all. icon_lol.gif

I only sleep well in my house, my room, my bed.

Even after 5 years with the same man, I sleep fitfully and intermittently in his bed.
